Cafe Flamenco at the Verdi Club

Created and directed by Emmy Award-winning dancer Yaelisa, with music by Jason McGuire El Rubio, Cafe Flamenco is a monthly series features a changing cast of world-class performers, special guest artists, and surprises each month. On Friday, May 14, we feature special choreographies from our 2009 Season Performances at the Cowell Theatre of “CANCIONES,” with dancers Melissa Cruz, Fanny Ara, Marina Elana and just returned from Spain, Cristina Hall! Joining them are dancers Hilit Maniv, Damien Alvarez, Devon LaRussa and Yukie Takahashi. Caminos Flamencos wonderful musicians Jason McGuire “El Rubio,” Felix de Lola and artistic director Yaelisa.

JUST ADDED! WE HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO FEATURE A WONDERFUL SINGER FROM JEREZ, KINA MENDEZ, NIECE OF LA PAQUERA. KINA WILL JOIN THE CUADRO AND WE ARE EXCITED TO PRESENT HER! SHE WILL BE PERFORMING IN THE 9:30 SHOW.

Wine, roses and great flamenco make an unforgettable experience of Spain close to home. Mediterranean tapas served by a variety of caterers are available. These performances frequently sell out, so make your reservations early! NOTE: Cash-only bar and tapas (purchased separately).
